About Me

Well it looks like you stumbled upon my website...guess I should explain who I am.

Hi, my name is Lukas McDiarmid. I live in a small town in Tasmania, Australia. I'm a gamer and have a collection of experience in PHP, HTML, some CSS, MySQL, JavaScript and Java, the language I have the most experience with, but I mainly just watch streams on Twitch.

My programming experience began when I was in grade 8. I had become curious as how to make plugins for a type of Minecraft server called Bukkit, so I started searching far and wide on the internet discovering what it took to make plugins. I eventually found out how to make them and learned from a few people on YouTube such as PogoStick29Dev's incredibly well put together tutorials. Before I knew it I had developed many small plugins and wanted to try to create some sort of points system which led me to learning MySQL. Whenever I start a project that involves MySQL I tend to really focus on the project, this sometimes meant I would forget to take breaks and such to grab a drink to prevent becoming dehydrated, but I really love working with MySQL.

As time and many projects went by, I began to take an interest in web development. As anyone would I began with very basic web pages containing only HTML and JS, But not long after I began working with PHP. After working with PHP for a day or so I discovered that when I combined all of the languages I have experience in the project turned out amazing and fun to do.

So that seems to of summed everything up, enjoy wondering around the site.
